Summary : Furan-2,5-dicarboxylic acid is a derivative of furan. The organic compound was first obtained by Fittig and Heinzelmann in 1876. HenryHill published its first review in 1901 (Am.Chem.Journ.25, 439). It took more than 125 years for the U.S. Department of Energy to identify FDCA as one of 12 priority compounds for building the "green" chemical industry of the future. Furan (FDCA/FDME) series products are mainly used in the application of hundreds of materials such as metal organic skeleton materials, pharmaceutical synthesis, polyester, polyamide, polyurethane, etc.
